Instructions

    Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet

    Preheat the oven to 250F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment, or prepare a dehydrator tray.

    Step 2: Slice and Arrange Tomatoes

    Slice the tomatoes in half, and lay them on the baking sheet cut side up. Sprinkle with a small amount of salt.

    Step 3: Dry the Tomatoes

    Bake until dry, approximately 3 hours, or dehydrate until dry, approximately 48 hours.

    Step 4: Store the Tomatoes

    Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks, dried. You can reconstitute the tomatoes in water or oil just before eating. Do not store the tomatoes in oil.
